Do you ever feel like you have more month than money? Do
you ever get to the end of the month and wonder why your paycheck didn’t stretch
all the way to the last day? It may be that your budget needs to go on a diet.
So I have a few tips on financial fitness that I’d like to share with you.
One idea for your expenses is to share things. A lot of
times you can get a better price per pound or per ounce by buying things in
bulk, but you may not be able to use all of the product before it would go bad
so you want to look at a way to get that cheaper price by buying in bulk and
still be able to use all of the product, and that may be by sharing it.
Another tip is to find it free. And this is especially good
when it comes to recreation and entertainment. Look around your community and
state and find those things that are free. Sometimes you can find free concerts
other events and activities that are great ideas for the family.
Another financial tip is to trade or swap, it is kind of
the old idea of bartering. Maybe you are really good at something like sewing,
and you have a friend with another skill like scrapbooking or cooking and you
can trade out those things. So be creative when looking for opportunities to
trade or swap and that can help your financial fitness, too.
A final tip is to just not buy it. Avoid impulse buys
especially if it is a large purchase. If you’ll take some time to think about it
and decide if you really need to make that purchase. Look over your budget, see
how it fits into your expenses that you currently have an remind yourself that
it is important to live within your budget and to have an emergency savings
account before you make extra expenses. Think about that before you make your
buying decision and maybe you’ll choose not to do it.
